It’s the middle of October. We’ve not yet had Bonfire Night. We haven’t even had Hallowe’en. But already the Christmas preparations are in full swing everywhere – including here at Shakespeare Does…
We’re looking forward to appearing at a number of local Christmas Fairs over the next couple of months – take a look at where we’ll be here.
And amongst all our usual products, we’ll have our brand new Christmas card designs available to buy. There are two designs: We Wish You A Merry Christmas, and Jingle Bells, both written how Shakespeare might have penned them as a 14-line sonnet. You can take a look at them here.
The two brand new poems are available to buy as framed sonnets too, which can also be personalised – a perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones, or even for yourself! Feel free to get in touch with us to place an order.
Having displayed our framed sonnets at a handful of local craft markets now – where we have already sold more than we expected and taken more orders for personalised gifts – we were chuffed this week to appear in the local paper, the Sunderland Echo.
Hopefully, this will be the start of many more articles and features on Shakespeare Does, as we continue to grow our company and range of products.
Thanks to Dorothy McQuillan for the feature.
Our unique products are proving a success further afield, as we exhibited at the Kirkharle Summer craft fair this weekend.
We’re delighted at the wonderful feedback we’ve received, with everyone we’ve spoken to saying what a great idea it is, and that they’ve not seen anything like it anywhere else!
We have more personalised gifts to create and send out to our growing number of customers – including a special 81st birthday present – and we can honestly claim that, after just a couple of weeks of being up-and-running, we’ve gone International! One of our customers this weekend was from Australia, and bought a whole collection of our bookmarks to send to her children back home.
There’ll be more products added to our website here very soon, so keep checking back. If there’s anything you like, or a gift that you’d like personalised for a special occasion, birthday, or anniversary, just get in touch with us on the contacts page and tell us what you need – we’ll do our best to create it for you.
Last weekend we unvailed our product to the world, taking Shakespeare Does to the wonderful surroundings of the Sunderland Minster.
The day was a great success, with a number of orders taken for our personalised ‘Happy birthday’ framed gift. We look forward to producing these bespoke pieces of art and getting them out to our first customers.
